1️⃣ Home Screen
Our initial design for the home screen was limited to displaying "Today's Menu" for two reasons:
👉🏻 Firstly, our original user experience concept was influenced by dating apps, and
👉🏻 Secondly, based on our research, we believe that "we eat with our eyes first," so we wanted to emphasize the visually appealing food to entice users to join the meal exchange.
However, after users participated in the meal exchange, we realized that this design was no longer suitable. As a result, we redesigned the home screen to prioritize key information about the exchange, while giving less emphasis to "Today's Menu."

2️⃣ Navigation Bar
Despite our aim to encourage users to participate in the meal exchange, the "Add Meal" button became redundant once the exchange was initiated, so we removed it from the navigation bar and integrated the feature into the "Exchange” screen.
3️⃣ Food Selection
Our initial design allowed users to indicate their preference for dishes by giving a "like", "super like" or “dislike”. But we realized that having a "dislike" option might upset some users, so we removed it and only let them express their favorites.
